COMMUNITY organisations helping to tackle crime on the Isle of Wight can apply for fresh funding from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police and Crime Commissioner Simon Hayes.
The commissioner is to host an event at the Riverside Centre on
Wednesday, from 11am to 12.30pm, when organisations interested in
bidding for community funding can find out more.
Funding is available for organisations looking to provide services in the following areas:
• domestic and sexual abuse
• data and technology
• young people and families
• victims and witnesses
• anti-social behaviour
• restorative justice
• substance misuse
• reducing reoffending
A spokesman said: "These events will provide an overview of what the commissioner is hoping to achieve from the bidding process and what he
is looking for in the bids that are submitted. It will also provide an
opportunity to get some practical advice on the bidding process."
The deadline for bids is January 31 at 4pm. Bids submitted after this
time will not be accepted for this round of bidding but might be
considered for future round, the spokesman said.
Awards will be announced by February 14. Bids should be submitted online at http://www3.hants.gov.uk/grants/pcc-grants.htm
