The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service deployed three fire engines to Lushington Garden Buildings in Wootton this morning (Saturday).

Fire crews were sent to extinguish a fire that had taken hold of three sheds at the garden centre on Lushington Hill.

Firefighters were asked to attend at 9.02am.

A spokeswoman for the fire service said the sheds were well alight.

* A spokeswoman said the fire had been extinguished by 12.16pm. In total, four single storey, wooden sheds had been ablaze. Two crews from Newport and one from East Cowes responded to the incident.
