THE current proposals made by the Local Education Authority in Buckinghamshire are totally ridiculous.

Saying that saving money on transportation costs to and from schools is a justified reason to take away any choice of secondary school is not supportable.

Our children already have to deal with an appalling Government funding situation with classes containing more than 30 students and a teacher shortage that enables inadequate teachers to take classes that they are not capable of teaching adequately.

On top of this, we are expected to accept no choice on where we send our children?

Children that are this country's future?

I hope the members of the LEA are aware of the strength of opinion they will face from parents.

We will not accept this ridiculous decision.

We will fight it every step of the way. We have every right to expect a fair deal for our children.
