STUDENTS from around the Isle of Wight have collected their GCSE results today (Thursday).
Following its best-ever A-level results last week, Cowes Enterprise College has built on the success with its best-ever GCSE results.
Principal Rebecca Pearce said: "I am so proud of what the students have achieved this year.
"The future for the school is now looking so promising and with these improved results, which follow a real focus on improving the quality of learning going on in the classrooms, targeted interventions for individual students, quality leadership at all levels and most importantly the high expectations of staff, students and parents working together, I know we are going to achieve even greater successes in the future."
Although schools are not expected to release overall results until later, she said they had seen particular success in English, where 26 per cent of students achieved A* or A grades, 11 per cent better than last year.
