HULA girl Gina Shore is set to broadcast her hip-swivelling skills across the nation, after winning a place on popular TV show Britain’s Got Talent.
The 24 year old has made it through the audition stage and hopes to impress judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden with her spectacular fire hoop act, when she appears on the show this month.
"I’m very excited but so scared as well. Hopefully I will be fuelled by adrenaline," said Gina, of St John’s Road, Ryde.
"I’m sure there will be some amazing acts in the competition but I’m quite optimistic because no-one has done anything like this before."
Gina first picked up a hula hoop two years ago, inspired by hula dancers in a Justin Timberlake music video.
She is now striving to set up her own Isle of Hula business, teaching hula hoop-based dance and fitness classes.
"All my friends were pushing me to try out for the show and I just decided to go for it," she said.
"I want to be the first person to do the fire hoop on the show and I think it’s a dazzling act.
"It would be fantastic if I got through."
