A NEW glamping site has been proposed for land south of Newclose Cricket Ground.
The luxury camping site will see a low density development of glamping 'pods' as well as a reception block, washing facilities and car parking.
Plans include three zones — oak yurts, pond yurts and woodland yurts.
A new pond/lake has been proposed for the western edge of the site.
The site is a former Christmas tree plantation, with the majority still covered with spruce trees.
The deadline for commenting on this application with the Isle of Wight Council planning department is April 13.
