Graham drops in to celebrate 50th birthday

Graham Machin does his skydive for charity.

A COWES businessman has celebrated his 50th birthday in style with a 12,000ft charity skydive.

Graham Machin, of Tennyson Road, Cowes, has raised £2,345 so far for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, after completing the jump at Netheravon Airfield, Salisbury.

"The free-fall took 45 seconds but felt like 20, the noise and speed are amazing. There was no time to be nervous," said Graham.

"So now I have my level one free-fall certificate but I will probably leave the others to the youngsters."

A long-time supporter of the air ambulance, and owner of Cowes Property Maintenance, Graham said his friends and customers had been incredibly generous with their donations.
