ORPINGTON Lions Club is facing closure due to lack of interest.
The club, which has been involved in the community for 30 years, now has just 14 members, only half of whom are active.
If its fortunes do not revive before the end of the year, closure is the only option.
Ex-chairman Bob Sands said: "There just doesn't seem to be the interest any more. Many of the members are getting into their 70s and 80s and we haven't been getting the new blood.
"There used to be a lively social scene and we used to do a lot of charity work but now it would take a miracle to get back to that."
Anyone interested in joining the club can call Ian on 01689 819906.
