Gritters get ready for winter

GRITTING vehicles will be out on the Isle of Wight's roads tomorrow (Saturday) and on Saturday, October 6.

The vehicles are on the road for driver training runs ahead of the winter season and will not be gritting, according to the Isle of Wight Council.

So, are these vehicles laid up during the other 3 months?
If so, a waste of money when they could multi task.
