Gurnard’s little gems

RECEPTION youngsters at Gurnard Primary School had plenty of fun with a humorous take on the Nativity.

Parents watched with pride as each 25-strong reception class performed The Lazy Shepherd — Topaz on Wednesday last week and Sapphire the following day.

While each class performed the acting roles, the other sang carols and festive children’s songs.

The title role was performed by five year olds Maisie Sheppard (Topaz) and Harrison Lane (Sapphire).

• More nativities in the Friday, December 20 and following editions of the County Press.

Because 'it's a news report about a local event and this is a local newspaper' would you say Stephen if you were asked that question?
