FRESHWATER Post Office has asked for planning permission to move across the road and open at the new Co-Operative store when the current building work is finished.

The proposed Post Office will move from Hooke Hill to Afton Road and will be open seven days a week with its hours increased.

The public is invited to comment on the move in a seven-week consultation, which closes on September 18.

Submissions can be made during the consultation by Freepost to Your Comment, Post Office Ltd, or via e-mail to comments@postoffice.co.uk, or via the Customer Helpline on 08457 22 33 44 or Textphone 08457 22 33 55.

Customers can also share their views online through a questionnaire at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 083935.
