A NEW enterprise hub will be offering Isle of Wight businesses free advice, support and mentoring.
Drop-in sessions are available to any Island business that has been trading for less than three years. They will be held every Wednesday at the Chamber of Commerce offices in Newport, from 9am to 2pm, starting on Wednesday.
Businesses are also entitled to ten hours’ free mentoring as part of the scheme.
The idea is one of the projects under the IsleWork initiative, which is being delivered in a joint arrangement between the Isle of Wight Council and the Isle of Wight Enterprise Agency, a division of the Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and Industry.
Chamber chief executive Kevin Smith said: "I am delighted we are able to use our expertise in a way that plugs the sizeable gap in the provision of business support services on the Island.
"The Isle of Wight Lottery funds our Start Up Business programme, which has so far helped create and retain more than 1,000 jobs on the Island."
