AN Isle of Wight charity is looking for items to recycle to raise money for its work.
Broken jewellery, watches, foreign banknotes, old mobile phones and ink cartridges can be given to the Adopt a Garden scheme of the Footprint Trust.
Items can be left in the donation box at the Riverside Centre, Newport.

Mike, the Footprint Trust is registered at Companies House, number 04587815 as a private company limited by guarantee.It is ALSO a registered Charity, number 1106024.There are plenty such vehicles going about at the moment.They are mostly of the "green" variety.You could set one up yourself if you want.Pay yourself a salary - no shareholders to worry about - tax breaks - any profits reinvested into the "company" and if it doesn't work out, who cares.I think the Adopt a Garden scheme is one of their better ideas.It matches mainly younger people without access to outside space with mainly older people with a garden too big for them.I may consider it myself (in a few years)!

Do we know which charity, how they use these items and who is to benefit?All seems like one of those leaflets which are shoved through the door :-(
