A BANK worker has given a cash boost to the NSPCC by organising a fund-raising disco.

Karen Spencer, 29, an accounts assistant at Barclays Bank, Terminus Street, Harlow, has raised £945 for the NSPCC, an amount which has been matched by her employer.

The president of the NSPCCs South West Essex branch, Ann Foster-Taylor, visited Barclays on Friday to collect the £1,890.

Mrs Spencer said after having three children of her own Charlotte, six, Jodie, four and Perry, two she felt inspired to support other children.
