A NEW restaurant has served up a treat for soldiers’ charity Help for Heroes.
The Bombay Palace, Ryde, celebrated its Grand Opening last month with an evening of food and dancing.
Guests, including local dignitaries and from the business community, attended the opening and enjoyed a free taste of the dishes on offer at the venue, located on the site of the Beijing Palace, at Ryde Canoe Lake, which burned down in 2007.
A collection was held in aid of Help for Heroes and among the guests was Falklands War veteran Steph Bishop.
Guests donated £500, while LV Construction, which rebuilt the restaurant, donated a further £250 and The Bombay Palace donated a further £250, bringing the total to £1,000.
