New Malden Library is challenging readers to take out a surprise book, wrapped up to conceal its identity, when they visit the library during the last week of May. Readers are promised a "delicious treat".

SURBITON: Two people were taken to hospital after the Nissan Cherry they were travelling in collided with an articulated lorry on St Mark's Hill, Surbiton, on Thursday, May 11. The accident happened at 10.30pm as the car tried to turn right into Lamberts Road.
