Hospice set to light up the Isle of Wight

A previous Lights of Love service at Rookley.

THE Earl Mountbatten Hospice’s annual Lights of Love services will, once again, be held across the Island throughout December.

The services bring together prayers of dedication, hymns, inspirational readings and the lighting of candles, to commemorate lives and loves past.

The first service is due to take place in Ventnor tonight (Thursday).

Hospice fundraiser Ben Rust said: "These services take place in Island communities throughout December and offer a time of reflection and pause, where we remember the people that have meant so much to us throughout the years."

Islanders who would like to make a dedication in the Lights of Love Book of Remembrance can contact the fundraising office on 01983 528989.

All names commemorated in the Book of Remembrance will be taken to the Hospice Lights of Love Service, on Friday, December 7, in Newport Minster, starting at 7pm.

Everyone who makes a dedication in memory of a loved one will receive a card and personal star photo frame to hang on their tree or the tree at the hospice.
