THE OWNERS of an Isle of Wight hotel appear on television this morning (Friday) to "name and shame" a rogue trader.
Maggie and Ric Hilton of the Enchanted Manor, who won a £29,000 county court ruling but have not received a penny, appear on Rip Off Britain, which airs at 9.15am.
The couple who bought the then run-down Niton manor as part of the BBC hit show Homes Under the Hammer, this time appear on television for a very different reason.
They made two payments for a bespoke wedding car for their business to Mark Ackers, of Elite Wedding Cars, of Preston, Lancashire, only to discover he had sold the car to someone else.
"We went through months of excuses before we finally realised we had been ripped off and took him to court," said Maggie.
"But, despite winning a county court judgment nearly four years ago and sending in the bailiffs, we have received nothing at all.
"We wanted to publicly highlight both him and the system and we were delighted the BBC spent two days filming with us."
The Enchanted Manor is a seven-suite hotel, which has been featured on numerous television shows and counts Peter Andre among its celebrity guests.
