WHO is aboard a multi-million pound superyacht, which arrived off Ryde, was a talking point in the town this week.
Amaryllis moored to the east of Ryde Pier on Tuesday morning and crew members were spotted shopping in the town but the identity of the guests aboard remained subject to speculation.
Amaryllis is a 78-metre superyacht chartered by Hill Robinson, a company which cloaks the identity of its customers in secrecy. Amaryllis caused a stir at Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays in November but was primarily built for the lucrative Mediterranean charter market.
It is recognised as a real superyacht among superyachts, complete with its five-metre sundeck pool, sea spa, gym, steam and massage rooms, VIP suite and accommodation spread over the five belle epoque, art nouveau and art deco-styled decks.
It can accommodate up to 12 guests in the very lap of luxury.
