A WARNING for ice on the Isle of Wight this weekend has been issued by the Met Office.

The 'be aware' warning is in place from 00.05am Saturday to 11am Sunday.

A snow warning remains in force today (Friday) until 9pm.

The Met Office said: "Although some further slight snowfalls are likely, with 1 to 2 cm of fresh snow in a few places, the focus switches to ice, with sub-zero temperatures persisting over existing snow cover for many areas and spreading back into parts of the southwest towards daybreak on Saturday."

"The public should be aware of the risk of localised disruption to transport during this spell of wintry weather."

How can a person be blamed for ice? Only a dimwitted person could consider that. Severe weather conditions require people to support each other, not use it as a platform for politics.
