SOUTH Bucks clinched promotion to Division Three of the National League for the first time in their history with a blistering 69-31 victory over Humberside.

And the girls, who have got a 100 per cent winning record this season, can wrap up the the title as well with a victory over Cheshire in their final game on March 23.

Coach Chris Gould said: "The girls have got what they deserved. They have worked extremely hard. We missed out on promotion by just one goal last season but they have made up for it this year."

Bucks showed their class as their class as they bulldozed their way past Humberside.

The Bucks girls did the damage in the first half with in-form shooters Cheryl Walker and Penny Jeffreys missing just three shots out of 44 attempts as Bucks sailed into a blistering 40-14 lead.

Bucks made a number of changes in the latter stages of the game but that did not stop them stretching their lead.

They can now clinch the title and promotion to Division Three next season with victory at fifth placed Cheshire in their next game on March 23.

And the U18 side are set to make it a winning double for the region. They are also top of their league while the senior seconds are also in with a shout of league silverware.
