THE Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is holding information sessions for anyone interested in becoming a retained firefighter.
There are vacancies at Cowes, East Cowes, Bembridge, Freshwater and Yarmouth Fire Stations. Sessions are being held on Tuesday at Yarmouth Fire Station, from 6.30pm, and next Saturday, March 2, from 10.30am, at East Cowes Fire Station.
Potential applicants are advised to attend one of the sessions where they will gain a valuable insight into the role of a retained firefighter.
