In-spired plan for Fringe festival

Liam Bailey will be heading to the Isle of Wight to headline the Spire Sessions at Ventnor Fringe.

A NEW micro music festival, featuring a wealth of eclectic and up-and-coming talent, will be among the highlights at this year’s Ventnor Fringe, organisers have announced today (Monday).

Held in surroundings of Ventnor’s Trinity Church, The Spire Sessions, has been organised in collaboration Love is the Law Magazine.

The sessions will be headlined on Friday, August 16, by soul musician Liam Bailey, who first came to prominence in 2010 when his debut EPs were released on Amy Winehouse’s label Lioness Records.

Since then he has collaborated with Chase and Status on the hit Blind Faith, played numerous major festivals and had a sell out show at the Union Chapel, London.

He will be joined by Marques Toliver, who was a hit with Fringe fans in 2011, the MOBO nominated Ayanna Witter-Johnson, LA Salami, Seye, Fiona Bevan, William Carl Jnr, Joseph Reuben and Summer Pearl, with more acts due to be announced.

Earlier this month organisers announced that camping would be available for the first time at this year's event.
