The death of Ol' Blue Eyes has left former Town Mayor, Claire Ward, feeling reminiscent.

Claire, who is the daughter of councillors Frank and Cathie Ward, met Frank Sinatra when she was just eight years old. Now 26 and MP for Watford, she is still a fan of his music and was upset to hear of his death.

But to remind her of the time she slipped past security at one of his concerts at the Royal Albert Hall to give him a bunch of flowers, she has the silk handkerchief he gave her in return.

And she still has the memory of him asking her to marry him and planting a big kiss on her lips.

"When you are a fan of a great like him it never really leaves you," said Claire. "It was very sad that he died but all good things come to an end. Meeting him like that was quite special, I was very lucky and now that he has gone there will never be an opportunity like that again. I still have the handkerchief to remind me of course."
