A SAFE, which had been forced open, was found outside the Island Waste Services facility in Briddlesford Road, yesterday morning (Monday) sparking an investigation.
The 2ft by 2ft, silver Chubb safe was discovered outside the facility by staff and was dumped between 10am and 10:20am.
Police appealed for anyone with information to contact PC Mark Allan at Newport Police Station by calling 101.
