Investigation into church damage

A CHURCH has been damaged, prompting an investigation by Isle of Wight Police.

A spokesman said officers were called to All Saints Church, Church Place, Freshwater, earlier this month, where there were signs of damage to the door of the Bier House.

Police Community Support Officer PCSO Mike Thornton of the West Wight Safer Neighbourhoods team said:  "We are appealing for witnesses who noticed anyone acting suspiciously between Wednesday, July 4 and Saturday, July 7."
