The e-fit picture released by police.
POLICE have released an e-fit picture of a man suspected of making off with thousands of pounds of jewellery in a hotel burglary.
More than £12,000 worth of items were taken from three rooms at the Ocean Hotel, Sandown, Isle of Wight, on August 23.
As previously reported, a large quantity of jewellery belonging to Ruth Whitehurst, of Cambridgeshire, was taken in the burglary and she has put up a £1,000 reward for its return.
Police have released a detailed description of the suspect as part of a fresh appeal for information.
He is described as aged in his early 40s, around 6ft tall, of slim build, with a long, angular face, dark eyes and dark, layered, short untidy hair, which was greying around the sides.
He wore dark trousers with the back pockets showing and a shirt tucked into the trousers and appeared to be mumbling a lot.
