THE Isle of Wight's Camerata Chamber Choir is to perform the world premiere of a work inspired by the London 2012 Olympics, at the Royal Albert Hall, London, on Sunday.

The ensemble will perform Gods of Olympus, composed by Karl Jenkins, alongside other choirs from around the country.

They will also perform another of Jenkins’ acclaimed works, The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace.

The concert, a fundraiser for the National Autistic Society, will be conducted by renowned choral conductor and former Kings’ Singer member, Brian Kay.

Camerata’s next Island performance will be as part of the Ventnor Fringe Festival, at St Catherine’s Church, Ventnor, on Thursday, August 16.
