WEMBLEY hero Tarkan Mustafa could be set to weave his magic at Brisbane Road next season after a trial for Orient against West Ham on Tuesday night.

Kingstonian right wing-back Mustafa, 26, won the man of the match award on Saturday in a 3-2 win over Kettering Town in the FA Trophy Final at the Twin Towers.

It's a venue and a fixture that clearly suits Mustafa, who lives in Walthamstow, as he scored the winner in the 1999 Trophy final as Kingstonian beat Forest Green 1-0.

This time the teams were locked at 2-2 before Mustafa launched a storming run on the right flank, ending in a vicious shot which the keeper could only parry, allowing a certain Amara Simba to pounce and grab the winner.

It gave Mustafa the last laugh over former club Kettering, as they had scored their second goal from a controversial penalty awarded against him.

He told Guardian Sport: 'It was a dream come true for me to win the final again. Playing at wing-back gives me the chance to run from deep and when I got the ball at 2-2 I was going for goal. I told Simba before the game that I was going to set up the winner for him so he was very grateful.

'The referee was behind me for the penalty so he was bound to give it but I didn't foul him.'

On Tuesday, Mustafa played 45 minutes for the O's against the Hammers and impressed Orient boss Tommy Taylor.

Taylor said: 'On the ball Tarkan did fine but he was not agressive enough off it.

'I'd like him back in pre-season because he can pass it and he can cross it.'

Mustafa added: 'I thought I played reasonably well. It's never easy to come into a new team but I created a few chances and I didn't want to come off at half time.

'I had a trial for Orient three years ago but I am more mature as a footballer now and I have more to offer.

'My agent (David Bloomfield) spoke to Tommy Taylor after the game and he said he would like to watch me again in pre-season.

'I like the set-up at Orient and, living in the area, I have always supported them.'
