Isle of White

The snow covered south of the Isle of Wight captured on camera by Mark Arnold.

THE snow hit Isle of Wight has been captured on camera from the air.

Wight Salads account manager Mark Arnold took the shots on a flight to Portugal yesterday (Tuesday), where he was travelling to visit the company's nursery there.

The two pictures show how snow and ice affected the different parts of the Island, with the south and east covered and the north largely clear.

Wight Salads marketing manager Mark Hitchcock said: "It really shows how bad it was in some parts, but in others there was almost nothing."

He said the cold snap would not have an impact on their crops, as light was the most important thing for them at this time of year.

Top pics, makes one feel rather small and unimportant. Which, to be fair, I am.....
