As a grandparent who regularly collect my grandchildren from school, I can sympathise with Mick Bathe.
Many of these 'busy' mothers referred to by C Ki-naird are sitting in their cars outside the school an hour before the children come out, just to be as near as possible.
They park on yellow lines, half on the pavement, even at bus stops.
These women are often the same who take up two spaces in car parks as they are unable to park their large vehicles.
I think they, not Mick Bathe who are sad, putting status symbols before safety.
