Isle of Wight Festival headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers.
DAY TICKETS for Saturday at the Isle of Wight Festival, with headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers, have sold out.
Festival promoter John Giddings says: "I am hardly surprised that the Saturday day tickets are the first to sell out. The level of excitement for the Red Hot Chili Peppers has been huge since we announced their exclusive appearance this summer."
Day tickets, which cost £75, are still available for the other days, along with weekend tickets.
Other acts due to perform include Biffy Clyro, Calvin Harris, Kings of Leon and Suede.
There are 56 days to go until the Seaclose event.

I used to be a regular attendee of Seaclose............... when it had a awimming pool in the 50's and 60's then the rot crept in Council Offices and now a gathering place for the Great Unwashed !!

My point stands - and I'm a regular Seaclose attendee. All I stated was my semi defence of Rollo, jumpy or what !

Does it really matter when a festival sells out if you're not the promoter? Sonisphere, Download etc all got day tickets left, and the IW festival is a major player in the circuit, and yet again IW residents run it down. Fact

.....actually he has a point - the more guaranteed sell-out Festivals DO NOT have day ticket sales. Sorry, but FACT.

Well said Mark..T Rollingsworth seems to have an opinion on absolutely everything ever printed in the CP..perhaps he should go and volunteer somewhere or become a councillor and be a useful citizen instead of an annoying know it all keyboard warrior :-)

T Rollingsworth, remind me, when did you organise a sell out festival on this scale? Well done Mr Giddings!
