Isle of Wight footballers' tribute to Jeff Stacey

The minute's silence in memory of Jeff Stacey at Westwood park, where Cowes Sports played Ventnor.

FOOTBALL united last weekend as teams came together to show their support for the family of Jeff Stacey, who was killed in Newport on Valentine’s Day.

It was an emotional start to the Gold Cup quarter-final tie between Cowes Sports and Ventnor, as the teams were led out by Jeff’s son, and Cowes Sports player, Jordon Stacey, 17.

Prior to kick-off teams observed a one-minute silence as a mark of respect to Jeff and his family.
