WITH MOVEMBER in full swing, men across the Isle of Wight have proudly been sprouting facial hair as part of a campaign to fight cancer.
The annual fundraiser encourages people to grow a moustache and donate sponsorship towards global efforts to tackle prostate and testicular cancers.
Last year the campaign raised more than £22m in the UK, 88 per cent of which went to men’s health programmes.
Among those taking part on the Isle of Wight are staff at Gurnard restaurant The Little Gloster.
Ben Cooke, owner and Movember team captain, said: "We have a friend with prostate cancer and we wanted to show our support for him, and others in his position, by raising money and the profile of the charity and the problem."
