IT'S a jam-packed weekend with plays, pantomimes, concerts, and festive happenings for everyone across the Island this weekend. 


The Brighstone Christmas tree festival, described as 'the most joyful event imaginable,' is celebrating its 20th year today (Saturday).
More than 200 decorated trees will be on display between 10am and 5pm at Brighstone Church, the Methodist Church, The Wilberforce Hall, The Three Bishops pub, The Reading Rooms, Mottistone Church and Isle of Wight Pearl.

Also at Brighstone today (Saturday) is Brighstone Primary Schools' Christmas fair between 1pm and 4pm.

Santa is bringing his grotto from the North Pole to Newport, to raise money for Island charity Breathe Easy.
He and his elves can be found in Sainsbury's today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday) from 10am to 4pm. 

Why not take in a Terry Pratchett classic courtesy of the Apollo Players at the Apollo Theatre, Newport?
Wyrd Sisters is on this evening (Saturday) at 7.30pm and tickets are just £8.50. 

There will be candlelit carols at the Waterside Pool, Ryde from 6pm, this evening (Saturday).

The Camphill Social Club are hosting a Rock and Roll Christmas Party this evening (Saturday) at 7.30pm, headlined by rockabilly hitmakers The Jets. 

If that’s not your cup of tea, you could catch singer songwriter Reg Meuross at St Catherine’s Church, Ventnor from 7.30pm. 

The Army Band will be performing at Yarmouth Square in aid of Earl Mountbatten Hospice this evening (Saturday) from 6pm to 7pm. 

There’s a lot on at Osborne House today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday), with festive tours from 10am until 2.30pm, and the chance to experience a servant’s Christmas from 10am until 3pm.

The Ventnor Theatre Group will present its production of Beauty and the Beast at the Winter Gardens today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday) at 2.30pm. 

If you haven’t got your Christmas wreath yet, Ventnor Botanic Gardens has you covered with their wreath making workshop tomorrow (Sunday) from 10am until 3pm. 

There’s a handful of tickets left for Theatre Train’s production of Dick Whittington at Shanklin Theatre on tomorrow (Sunday) at 5pm.

Island charity Daisy Chain are hosting a royal princess tea at Shanklin Landguard Manor tomorrow (Sunday) at 5pm.
