WITH New Year’s Eve tonight (Saturday), it’s simultaneously the last weekend of 2016, and the first weekend of 2017.
Of course, that means the weekend is littered with parties for you to choose from.
The Cow Co at Tapnell Farm, Yarmouth, promises to close out the year with a bang. Starting at 8pm tonight (Saturday) you can get glass of prosecco, five hours of live music, DJ sets, and countless surprises for £25.
From Cow Co to Cowes; the Cowes Yacht Haven will host the Electric 80s Spectacular from 8pm. There will be fancy dress, a new club lighting design and silent disco. Tickets are £15.
The Ska’d for Life New Year Bash takes place at Ryde Pavillion, with live music and DJs from 8pm. Tickets are £10.
The Newport Conservative Club party kicks off at 9pm tonight featuring music from The Hillmans, joined by Rolling Stones founder member Dick Taylor.
Get a taste of 2017 at the Ventnor Winter Gardens from 9pm tonight (Saturday) with DECO in the Sunset Lounge. Cooly Haste will be joined by guests playing music from across the seventies and eighties.
The Volunteer pub in Ventnor will be calling last orders for good tonight (Saturday) and closing out the year with one last hurrah.
Tomorrow (Sunday) nurse the hangover and start the new year with some culture by taking in a bit of art.
It’s the last two days of Island photographer Martin Perry’s presentation at the Dimbola Lodge this weekend which explores the beauty of the British Isles.
Also enjoying its last two days at the Dimbola Lodge is the Cartography of Dreams, an exhibition from four photographers to map out their dreams and imaginations.
Both exhibitions are open between 10am and 4pm.
