Isle of Wight winners, naturally

Grant Lewis and Hayley Rawlings, natural faces of the Isle of Wight.

TWO young Islanders have been named the natural faces of the Isle of Wight.

FM model agency, in London, joined forces with award-winning eco fashion brand Rapanui and the Eco Film Company, to tap into the potential of the Island’s young men and women, aged between 16 and 22, in the hunt for the Natural Face of the Isle of Wight.

Hayley Rawlings, from Cowes, and Grant Lewis, from Newport, were chosen as the two winners, from the seven finalists, by FM model agency founder and director, Freddie Laughton.

She said: "Hayley is a true English rose with beautiful skin, really epitomising natural beauty, and Grant is a classically good looking boy and I like the way his cheeky chappy personality really comes across in the photographs.

"Both are worthy winners."

The winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the model agency’s offices, where they will be made up and styled for a test photo shoot with the in-house photographer and begin to build their own portfolios.

They will also model the clothing in the autumn fashion shoot for Rapanui, which is based at Sandown.

Rob Drake-Knight, co-founder of Rapanui, said: "It’s great these young people from the Island have the chance to work as professional models. My brother, Mart, and I are really keen to provide opportunities for young people on the Isle of Wight and so we were delighted to be involved with the search for the Natural Face of the Isle of Wight.

"Well done Hayley and Grant and good luck!"
