THOUSANDS of people across the world could soon be getting fit with the help of an Island entrepreneur.
Professional music producer and song-writer Owen Hunte has turned his hand to creating an application for the Apple iPhone that gives users an interval training session.
Interval training involves periods of fast-paced exercise, interspersed with slower work-outs.
Mr Hunte’s programme, ITGO, allows iPhone users to set time periods and ratios for the type of work-out they want. They can then set the work-out to music, choosing different soundtracks depending on the pace of the exercise.
Mr Hunte, 37, of St John’s Avenue, Ryde, has founded his own company to develop a number of applications for the iPhone, while, as a music producer, he has created tracks which have been used in feature films and computer games.
"I have been working with two guys, one in Texas and one in Belarus. I have never spoken to them, we do it all through e-mail," said Mr Hunte.
