THE Isle of Wight’s only indoor skate park is just weeks away from completion.

The team behind The Drop say they are on course for a launch event on July 7, when Island skaters, scooter riders, in-line skaters and BMX riders will have the chance to test out the park’s challenging ramps.

The skate park is located in an industrial unit at Riverway Industrial Estate, Newport. Supporters include John Cattle, of Wight Trash, Rapanui and Scott Wilson, of Degenerate.

Anyone who wants to skate at the park, including on the opening day, will have to register in advance by downloading a form from www.thedropskatepark.com
