Pedestrians and motorists are being put at risk because of faded road markings in Shenley's London Road, according to the parish council.
Shenley Parish Council has asked the borough's Highways Partnership to repaint the pedestrian crossing outside The White Horse pub as soon as possible.
Members were concerned that the lack of a raised kerb and obscured 'no parking' markings meant motorists were parking too close to the crossing.
The parish council has also informed the Highways Partnership that it is worried about the state of the road surface in London Road.
