JOOLS Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra are to make their long-awaited return to the Isle of Wight in April.

He will be joined at Ryde Planet Ice Arena by special guests, ex-Spice Girl Mel C and former Soft Cell singer Marc Almond, as well as guest vocalists Louise Marshall and Ruby Turner.

His television series Later... with Jools Holland has featured some of the world’s most famous musicians and helped launch the careers of a host of up-and-coming acts, and as a musician in his own right he has entertained audiences around the globe.

Annie Horne, of promoters Green Eye Events, said: "Since the last amazing performance here in 2010, with guest Alison Moyet, we have always wanted to bring Jools back to the Isle of Wight.

"This show will undoubtedly be a lively and vibrant performance and a fantastic evening of entertainment.

"The Isle of Wight audience loves Jools Holland and with special guests, Melanie C and Marc Almond appearing with Jools this time, I am sure it will be a night to remember."

• Tickets for the concert, which is on Friday, April 25, will be available from tomorrow (Friday) from the Planet Ice Arena, The Blacksheep Bar, Ryde, and the Isle of Wight County Press Shop, Pyle Street, Newport.
