ISLAND food reviewers Matt and Cat have teamed up with the Isle of Wight Youth Trust to create the Big Fat Food Quiz, coming to a pub near you during the week starting Monday, October 28.
The quiz has eight rounds of Island food-related trivia, with fantastic prizes: the winning team will win a hamper of Isle of Wight produce and the winning team from each pub will win a Matt and Cat Dining Club card, worth £25 and giving discounts at the some of the Isle of Wight’s top eating establishments.
The venue that raises the most money will be featured on The Agency building, Coppins Bridge.
The County Press will print details of pubs taking part on Friday, October 25.
Entry is £2 per person, with no restriction on team sizes.
If your pub would like to take part, contact Aimee Steward on 01983 529569.
Eileen Monks, director of the Isle of Wight Youth Trust, said: "Bite the Wight is about fundraising but it’s also about coming together as a community, enjoying food with friends and family and taking pride in something the Island does brilliantly."
Matt and Cat said: "We had a lot of fun designing this quiz and we’re proud to support the Isle of Wight Youth Trust, which is a really good cause.
"We’re really looking forward to Bite the Wight and we’re glad see Island venues getting behind it."
