Lad-mag star would give it all away

Celena Wright.

AN ISLAND beauty is hoping to be crowned FHM men’s lifestyle magazine’s number one Holiday Honey — and help her favourite charities at the same time.

Celena Wright, 28, entered the competition as a bit of fun and was delighted when she found out she had made the final 100, from 13,875 entries.

The competition sees one lucky winner chosen by public vote, scooping a £10,000 prize, plus the chance to be a TV presenter on KISS TV.

And, if Celena wins, she has decided the money will be split between five charities she holds closest to her heart.

Celena grew up in Shanklin and attended Shanklin CE Primary, Lake Middle and Sandown High schools.

"I’m not a model and just did this for a bit of fun but now I have got this far I thought it would be fun to try and get a bit further," said Celena, who now lives in Warrington.

"I have been travelling the world on cruise ships and working in hotels abroad as a singer, and now I am looking for a little support from the Island, as it is where I consider home.

"I regularly come back to the Island and always like to attend Cowes Week, the Isle of Wight Festival and other events that are taking place," she said.

She added: "If I was to win, any cash would be distributed between my five chosen charities — Marie Curie Cancer Care, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Headway — The brain injury association, Royal Naval Benevolent Trust and the Sepilok Orangutan Appeal.

"It’s money I don’t have now, so if I was to win it would be nice for the money to go towards helping others."

Voting is free and you can vote for Celena at http://celena.co.uk

Voting ends on April 22 and you can vote as many times as you would like, with the top ten being announced in June.
