Land and sea searches for missing woman

POLICE have released a picture captured on CCTV of missing Wootton Bridge woman, Victoria Bailey, who disappeared from her home on Saturday.

The picture is the last confirmed sighting of Victoria and was taken at 2.18pm on Saturday in Freshwater as she was getting off a bus. She is then believed to have walked towards the Tennyson Trail.

Land and sea searches for Victoria, 53, of Red Road, continued into last night (Tuesday) in the Freshwater area. Coastguards, the police marine unit and Wight Search and Rescue (SAR) were helping with the search.

On Monday, police renewed their appeals for information about Victoria, who was reported missing from her home at 12.30pm omn Saturday. They say they are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety.

*This morning (Wednesday) a police spokeswoman said they had concluded their search last night, after no trace of Victoria had been found and no new information had come to light.

They have continued to appeal to the public for any information.
