PLANS to sell Isle of Wight Council land in Ryde to Liz Earle took a step forward on Tuesday.
A decision has been made by deputy leader Cllr George Brown to treat the beauty company as a special purchaser for the 15-hectare site near Ryde Business Park, which is owned by the authority.
The beauty company is hoping to expand its business in a move that could create up to 500 Island jobs.

I find it amazing that when ever a Company wants planning permission it states it will provide X amount of jobs, yet whe the deed is done, the jobs turn out to be part time or for already skilled and trained personel. Will Liz Earle be providing training for people who want to take up the proposed jobs ? and will they be full time jobs ? "thats more than 16 hours a week"
