YARMOUTH RNLI Lifeboat was called to help a yachtsman who had fallen ill off the Isle of Wight this morning (Wednesday).

The skipper of the Mistral called the Solent Coastguard shortly before 7.30am, saying he was suffering from sickness and fatigue.

The lifeboat located the yacht just north west of the Needles and was towing it into Yarmouth, according to a coastguard spokesman.
