A YACHT with engine trouble had to be helped by Cowes lifeboat yesterday (Sunday).
The 46ft yacht Dido, with four people on board, was travelling from Jersey to Hamble when it had to call for assistance shortly before 2am.
It was unable to start its engine in light wind conditions and was in a no-anchoring zone.
"Although Cowes lifeboat, with Patrick Moreton at the helm, quickly responded to the call it found the Dido was by then off Cowes. It towed the yacht into East Cowes Marina," said an RNLI spokesman.
