AN EXHIBITION by artist Lisa Traxler, best known for her collectable large canvas abstract paintings, will open this month at Quay Arts.
Lives of Spaces is an autobiographical exhibition, featuring life-size enamel and steel sculptures, murals, paper installations and vibrant abstract paintings of textured acrylic and graphite on canvas.
A limited edition book about Traxler’s work, with essays by art critic and author Peter Davies and artist, writer and lecturer Jonathan Parsons, will accompany the exhibition.
Lives of Spaces opens on Saturday, February 11, in the Michael West Gallery and will run until April 14.
The artist will be at Quay Arts, at 2.30pm, on February 25, to talk about her work.
