THE Isle of Wight’s first Heart Awareness Day will take place next month, offering advice and support to people living with heart failure.
Cardiomyopathy is one of the biggest killers of people under 35 and affects one in 500 people.
A support and information event, organised by community heart failure nurse, Georgina Newnham, and Gilbert Wheeler, from the Cardiomyopathy Support Group, will be held at the Medina Masonic Lodge, Cowes, on May 12.
For further details or to book a place, contact Sarah Dennis at the Cardiomyopathy Association on 0800 0181 024.
