LOST rescue dog Pluto was safely caught last night (Wednesday).

Having been missing for three weeks now, the Cyprus rescue dog was caught in a dog trap that had been set up for him at Ryde Golf Club.

Dog lovers raised more than £1,300 to help capture Pluto and the unspent money will now go towards Pluto for vet treatment, a harness, treats and possibly a behaviourist to ease him into life in his new home.

Pluto came to the Island in August 2017 and was adopted shortly after, but around four weeks ago it was decided he needed to be re-homed.

He was sent for a trial in a new home but he escaped in the Binstead/Ryde area.
